SIP & D-34 Package Overview

SIP (Single In-line Package)

SIP (Single In-line Package) is a through-hole IC package    with pins emerging from one side of the package body in a single straight    line. When mounted on a PCB, the package stands upright. Standard pin pitch    is 2.54 mm, with pin counts typically ranging from 2 to 23. SIP is    cost-effective, easy to install, and ideal for small-scale ICs.

Key Features

  • Simple structure with a single row of pins
  • Low cost and easy assembly
  • Compact footprint compared to DIP
  • Common pin counts: 3–16
  • ZIP variant available for higher pin density

D-34 Package (Two Meanings)

1. D-34 High-Power Bridge Rectifier Package

In power semiconductors, D-34 refers to a square single-phase    bridge rectifier package with screw mounting and excellent thermal    conductivity. Typical dimensions are 28.5 × 28.5 × 9.8 mm with 4 pins.

  • Current rating: 25 A / 35 A
  • Voltage range: 200 V to 1200 V
  • Surge current: up to 475 A
  • Operating temperature: -55°C to +150°C
  • Applications: industrial power supplies, motor drives, welding equipment

2. D-34 Ceramic Dual In-line Package (CerDIP-34)

In IC packaging, D-34 may also refer to a 34-pin Ceramic    Dual In-line Package (CerDIP-34) with glass sealing, known for high    reliability and hermeticity.

  • 34 pins (17 per side), 2.54 mm pitch, 7.62 mm row spacing
  • Hermetic glass-sealed ceramic body
  • Superior environmental protection and temperature range
  • Applications: military, aerospace, high-reliability industrial controls
